About the Resource
The City of Baker Springs is a fictitious entity created for the Howard H. Baker Jr. School of Public Policy and Public Affairs for the purpose of showing those who are interested in public administration what a typical municipal website should look like. It was created as part of the Baker’s school new online Master of Public Administration (MPA) program. The site aims to exemplify both realism and ease of use in order to make it an efficient, comprehensive learning sandbox. Users can access the site to read up on the history of Baker Springs, view members of its government, and access various types of data pertaining to the city.
A special thanks to Dane Morgan for envisioning the city of Baker Springs, Dr. Katie Cahill for greenlighting the Baker Springs project, the UT Digital Learning team for developing the website as a digital learning sandbox, and Dani Powers for her contributions to overall site design.
